Taking Control of Static Pressure
The SPC-800&trade is a static pressure control with a solid-state switching and timing circuit that enhances operation and improves reliability. The unit has a fully-calibrated setpoint dial for easy set-up and adjustment. The SPC-800&trade is used with a bypass damper having a floating-type motorized actuator. As individual zone dampers open and close, the SPC-800&trade maintains the system static pressure by modulating the bypass damper.
How does the SPC-800™ work?
As individual zone dampers open and close, the system static pressure will rise and fall. In order to maintain proper airflow and static pressure through the HVAC system, a bypass damper incorporating a floating type motorized actuator and static pressure control should be used. The static pressure control is equipped with a solid-state switching and timing circuit to enhance operation and improve reliability.
