"BH" series barometric bypass dampers are used to automatically bypass excess air when increases in duct static pressure occur due to closing of zone dampers. Various relief air control settings are accomplished by simple adjustment of the weight on the arm. Barometric relief dampers are recommended for systems up to 0.75" W.C. of static pressure (for higher pressure systems use EB motorized bypass dampers).
"EB" Series electronic bypass dampers are used to automatically bypass excess air when increases in duct static pressure occur due to closing of zone dampers. The "EB" series dampers utilize a floating-type motorized actuator along with the Jackson Systems SPC-800™ static pressure control. The SPC-800™ has a fully calibrated setpoint dial for easy set-up and adjustment. The SPC-800™ maintains the system static pressure by modulating the bypass damper. "EB" series electronic bypass dampers are recommended for systems from 0.08" W.C. up to 0.80" W.C. of static pressure.
