Building Automation Systems (BAS), sometimes referred to as Building Management Systems or Building Control Systems, is a network of connected devices that control various HVAC, electric, electronic, and mechanical systems throughout a building. These devices are typically connected by a combination of Bluetooth and internet network systems syncing devices together to create unified building controls. They allow administrators to monitor and control a range of electronic and mechanical systems.
When implemented correctly, building automated systems can provide universal safety measures, monitor performance of HVAC systems or other building systems, eliminate redundancy of automations that aren’t integrated, and extend the life cycle of various utilities.
