BZD: Barometric Zone Damper
NO BYPASS REQUIRED!!
The BZD Barometric Zone Damper™ operates like any standard zone control damper with one exception - it has a built-in static pressure relief mechanism that eliminates the need for a bypass damper.
The damper has been factory set at approximately 0.3" WC and does not require any adjustments. Only when the static pressure reaches 0.3" WC, the point where the system would start to become noisy, does the barometric half of the damper start to modulate open, bleeding a small amount of air into the zones that are not calling. This method of control works exceptionally well and will not cause over-heating or over-cooling problems.
The damper can be mounted in either the horizontal or vertical position.
