The White-Rodgers 1E78-151 is a vertical-mount 70 Series programmable thermostat engineered for single-stage heating and cooling systems. Its slim, low-profile design complements modern home décor while delivering reliable performance and effortless installation — making it an ideal choice for new construction and retrofit applications alike.
Powered by two included AAA Energizer® batteries, the 1E78-151 requires no common wire and is compatible with the vast majority of residential heating and cooling systems, including millivolt systems. The universal subbase mounts directly to a 2″ x 4″ junction box or flush to the wall, and an optional wallplate is available for retrofit installations.
