Description
The Armstrong Furnace R101432-15 is an OEM replacement pressure switch engineered to provide dependable draft and combustion safety control in compatible Armstrong Furnace heating systems. Calibrated to a precise -0.85″ water column (“wc) set point, this switch monitors negative pressure within the furnace venting system to verify proper inducer operation before allowing ignition to proceed — protecting against unsafe combustion conditions.
Key Features
- OEM Armstrong Furnace replacement part — direct-fit for compatible models
- Calibrated set point: -0.85″ water column (“wc)
- SPST (Single Pole, Single Throw) switching action for straightforward circuit integration
- Dual 1/4″ barb port connections for easy hose attachment and secure pressure sensing
- Monitors inducer/draft pressure to confirm safe venting before ignition
- Helps prevent unsafe furnace operation due to blocked flues or inducer failure
- Compact design for installation in tight furnace control compartments
How It Works
The pressure switch senses negative pressure generated by the draft inducer blower. When the inducer achieves the correct airflow, the pressure differential closes the SPST switch contacts, signaling the furnace control board to proceed with the ignition sequence. If the required pressure is not reached — indicating a possible blocked flue, failed inducer, or venting issue — the switch remains open, locking out ignition and protecting the heat exchanger and occupants.
Application
- Designed for Armstrong Furnace brand gas furnaces
