ZoneFirst SPRD-12X8 12″ x 8″ Barometric Static Pressure Regulating Damper

Description

Product Overview

The ZoneFirst SPRD-12X8 is a 12″ Wide x 8″ High Barometric Static Pressure Regulating Damper engineered to maintain balanced static pressure in residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems. When zone dampers close and system static pressure rises, this barometric damper automatically opens to bypass excess air — protecting the blower, reducing noise, and extending equipment life without the need for electrical controls or actuators.

Key Features

• Barometric (pressure-activated) operation — no actuator or wiring required
• Automatically relieves excess static pressure when zone dampers close
• 12″ Wide x 8″ High duct opening size for flexible installation
• Helps protect blower motors and heat exchangers from high-static conditions
• Reduces airflow noise caused by over-pressurized duct systems
• Passive, self-regulating design for reliable, low-maintenance performance
• Compatible with single-zone and multi-zone forced-air HVAC systems

Applications

• Residential and light commercial zoned HVAC duct systems
• Bypass pressure relief in multi-zone forced-air applications
• New construction and retrofit zoning installations
