Description
The Johnson Controls P100AP-332 is a direct-mount, encapsulated pressure control engineered specifically for condenser fan cycling applications in commercial and residential HVAC systems. With its open construction design and automatic reset functionality, this control delivers reliable, repeatable performance for protecting and managing condenser fan motor operation based on system refrigerant pressure.
How It Works
The P100AP-332 monitors refrigerant system pressure and cycles the condenser fan motor accordingly. The control opens (breaks the circuit) when pressure drops to 300 PSIG, shutting down the condenser fan. It then closes (restores the circuit) when pressure rises back to 400 PSIG, restarting the fan. This pressure-activated switching action helps maintain optimal head pressure and system efficiency across varying ambient conditions.
Key Features
- Encapsulated pressure control for durability in demanding HVAC environments
- Direct mount design for straightforward installation on refrigerant lines or equipment
- SPST (Single-Pole, Single-Throw) switching action — Open on Pressure Drop
- Open construction for easy field inspection and serviceability
- Automatic reset — no manual intervention required after pressure recovery
- Designed specifically for condenser fan cycling duty

Application
The P100AP-332 is ideal for use in split systems, rooftop units, and other refrigeration equipment where condenser fan cycling is required to maintain proper head pressure during low ambient temperature operation or variable load conditions. Its direct-mount configuration simplifies installation and reduces the need for additional fittings or remote sensing lines.
