Description
The MAMAC Systems TE-701-B-7-D is a precision duct temperature sensor engineered for reliable air temperature measurement in commercial and industrial HVAC applications. Designed for seamless integration into building automation and control systems, this sensor delivers accurate, stable readings to support efficient HVAC operation and energy management.
Sensor Technology
At the heart of the TE-701-B-7-D is a 10,000 Ohm NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) Thermistor using the Type III curve — a widely accepted standard in building automation controls. This thermistor type provides a predictable resistance-temperature relationship, ensuring compatibility with a broad range of DDC controllers, building automation systems, and HVAC control platforms.
Probe & Mounting
The 12″ insertion probe is sized to reach the center of most duct configurations, capturing a representative air temperature reading away from duct walls. The flange mount design simplifies installation by providing a secure, stable attachment point directly to the duct surface, reducing vibration and ensuring long-term probe alignment.
Wiring & Connectivity
A 6-foot plenum-rated cable is included, making this sensor ready for installation in air-handling environments where plenum-rated wiring is required by code. The plenum cable rating ensures compliance with fire and smoke safety standards in return air plenums and air ducts.
