How It Works
Suction line accumulators act as a holding vessel on the low-pressure side of the refrigeration circuit. Any excess liquid refrigerant or oil that may carry over from the evaporator is temporarily stored within the accumulator body, allowing only vapor to pass through to the compressor. A metered bleed orifice ensures that trapped oil is gradually returned to the compressor for proper lubrication, while a heat exchanger tube design (where applicable) helps vaporize any residual liquid refrigerant before it reaches the compressor.
