Description
The Supco SFC170250 is a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) fan cycle switch engineered for precise head pressure control in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Designed to close on pressure rise, this switch cycles the condenser fan motor on and off based on system refrigerant pressure, helping maintain optimal operating conditions in low-ambient or variable-load environments.
How It Works
The SFC170250 monitors high-side refrigerant pressure and uses a factory-set differential to control condenser fan operation. When system pressure drops to the cut-out setpoint, the switch opens and stops the fan. As pressure rises back to the cut-in setpoint, the switch closes and restarts the fan — protecting compressor performance and system efficiency.
