Description

The Goodman AWST is a ducted, wall-mounted air handler available in 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3-ton sizes, each offered with a choice of 3, 5, 8, or 10 kW electric heat kit sizes to match the home’s supplemental or backup heating needs. Its slim chassis design mounts vertically on the wall using the included wall-hanging bracket, making it a good fit for homes where floor space is at a premium.

At the core is an all-aluminum evaporator coil designed for durable, corrosion-resistant performance, paired with a fully adjustable thermal expansion valve (TXV) to optimize refrigerant flow and heat transfer for the home’s specific needs. A direct-drive, multi-speed ECM motor produces variable air volume for both heating and cooling, working alongside sequence-controlled, rust-resistant nickel-chromium heating elements for reliable backup or supplemental heat.

The cabinet offers a choice of front or bottom return for installation flexibility, with a thermoplastic drain pan providing both a primary bottom and secondary drain connection. A built-in filter rack (filter included) saves on separate filter housing costs, and a factory-installed pull-type disconnect allows the unit to be safely powered down for service.
