How It Works
The freeze stat’s capillary is routed across the face of the coil or inside the duct. If any point along the capillary detects a temperature at or below the set point, the stat trips — shutting down fans, closing dampers, or activating heating circuits via its two SPDT outputs. The manual reset feature ensures the system cannot restart until a technician has assessed and cleared the freeze condition, protecting equipment and building occupants.
