The AprilAire 613 is a genuine MERV 13 replacement filter for whole-house air purifiers, designed as the OEM filter for the AprilAire 1625FG Filter Grille and compatible with Carrier, General, Honeywell, Lennox, Trion, and Ultravation air cleaners using the 4897 Upgrade Kit. Using the genuine AprilAire filter matters — off-brand options won’t meet AprilAire’s airflow, filtration, or efficiency specs, and a poor fit allows bypass around the filter media rather than through it.
At MERV 13, the filter removes up to 97% of common allergens and captures 92% of airborne viruses based on controlled testing per ASHRAE 52.2 using the MS-2 virus surrogate. It also removes 15% more harmful particles in the 0.30–1.0μm range compared to the minimum MERV 13 requirement, verified by a third-party lab. The synthetic fiber media is built to last — rated for a 12-month service life, which is up to 2x longer than standard filters per ASHRAE 52.2 testing.
Patented Self-Seal Technology reduces bypass at the filter frame, ensuring that particulates go through the media rather than around it. The AprilAire Interlock Rail System allows installation without assembly — expand and insert. Nominal dimensions are 16″H × 25″W × 4″D (actual: 15.5″H × 26.63″W × 4.05″D).
