Description
The Carrier EA660017 is an OEM thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) designed as a direct replacement for compatible Carrier residential and light commercial HVAC systems. The TXV plays a critical role in refrigerant circuit performance by precisely metering refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil, maintaining optimal superheat levels, and protecting the compressor from liquid slugging.
Key Features
- OEM Carrier replacement TXV for assured fit and compatibility
- Precisely meters refrigerant flow to maintain optimal evaporator superheat
- Helps protect the compressor from liquid refrigerant slugging
- Supports efficient system operation and maximizes cooling capacity
- Engineered to meet original equipment specifications
- Suitable for residential and light commercial Carrier HVAC applications
Why Use an OEM TXV?
Using a genuine Carrier OEM thermostatic expansion valve ensures the replacement part meets the exact engineering tolerances of the original equipment. An improperly sized or mismatched TXV can lead to poor system efficiency, compressor damage, and reduced equipment lifespan. The EA660017 is the correct factory-specified valve for applicable Carrier systems, giving technicians confidence in every installation.
Application
- Direct OEM replacement for compatible Carrier systems
- Refrigerant flow and superheat control at the evaporator
- Residential and light commercial split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications
