Carrier KAACS0201PTC Start Assist PTC Kit

Description

Carrier KAACS0201PTC Start Assist PTC Kit Overview

The Carrier KAACS0201PTC is an OEM start assist PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) kit designed to improve compressor startup performance in compatible Carrier HVAC systems. PTC start assist devices reduce the amp draw during compressor startup by providing a brief current boost and then rapidly increasing resistance once the motor is running — helping the compressor start reliably under challenging conditions such as high ambient temperatures, low voltage situations, or after short-cycling.

Key Features

• OEM Carrier start assist PTC kit engineered for compatible Carrier systems
• PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor technology for reliable compressor startup assistance
• Reduces compressor startup amp draw and electrical stress
• Helps prevent hard-start failures caused by high back pressure, low voltage, or short-cycling
• Direct OEM replacement for precise fit and performance
• Compact design for straightforward installation

Benefits

• Extends compressor service life by minimizing startup stress
• Improves system reliability in demanding operating conditions
• OEM part ensures compatibility and maintains equipment warranty compliance
• Simple installation with no additional wiring components required

Application

The KAACS0201PTC is intended for use with compatible Carrier air conditioning and heat pump systems. Always consult the equipment’s service documentation or the Carrier parts catalog to confirm compatibility with your specific model before installation.
