The Daikin FTXM is a single-zone Atmosphera Series wall-mounted indoor unit available in 0.75 to 2-ton sizes, in V-Series and current-generation W-Series. It pairs with a matched Daikin RXM Atmosphera outdoor condenser for a complete system delivering up to 27.4 SEER2, 16.3 EER2, and 11.2 HSPF2 efficiency — among the highest ratings in Daikin’s single-zone lineup — while meeting stringent DOE regulations.

At the core is inverter-driven operation combined with 3-D Airflow that circulates cool air from the floor and warm air from the ceiling, plus vertical and horizontal auto-swing to reach the corners of larger spaces. INTELLIGENT EYE uses an infrared sensor to detect room occupancy, adjusting the setpoint to save energy if the room sits empty for 20 minutes, and hybrid cooling efficiently dehumidifies even at low cooling loads, maintaining the effect after the target temperature is reached. Enhanced capacity delivers 100% heating output at 5°F, with heating extending down to -13°F when an optional drain pan heater is installed, and 100% cooling capacity up to 115°F — giving year-round comfort across most U.S. climates.

Built-in Wi-Fi lets you control the system from anywhere via the Daikin Comfort Control app, with no adapter required. A Powerful Mode boosts cooling or heating output for 20 minutes on demand, Hot Start prevents cold drafts when switching into heating mode, and the Clean function dries the indoor unit’s interior to reduce condensation buildup. The indoor unit has been redesigned for easier drain pan removal compared to other wall-mounted units, and quiet indoor sound pressure runs as low as 22 dB(A).
