The Detroit Radiant Re-Verber-Ray LS3-10-30N is a 30,000 BTU, 10-foot single-stage low-intensity infrared tube heater designed for natural gas operation. Built for lower mounting heights of 8 to 11 feet, it’s one of the most versatile models in the LS3 line — residentially certified for attached garages and workshops, and equally at home in low-ceiling commercial and industrial applications like entryways, mezzanines, lunch rooms, and restaurant patios.
Infrared tube heaters heat objects and occupants directly rather than warming the air first, making them significantly more efficient in spaces with high ceilings, poor insulation, open bays, or frequent door cycling — situations where forced-air heating loses much of its output before reaching the occupied zone. The LS3-10-30N delivers radiant heat at floor level where people and equipment actually are, with minimal warm-up time compared to conventional heating systems.
The titanium-stabilized aluminized steel combustion chamber is finished with a high-emissivity black coating (0.92+) for maximum heat transfer, paired with black-coated aluminized steel radiant emitter tubes and highly polished aluminum reflectors that are rotatable from 0° to 45° to direct heat precisely where it’s needed. The patent-pending Dimpled Baffle MAX radiant tube design eliminates the need for site-installed baffles and maximizes heat transfer along the full tube length.
The burner control box is constructed of corrosion-resistant enameled steel with an ABS plastic cover, housing totally enclosed components including hot surface silicon carbide ignition, flame rod sensing, 24V microprocessor controls with pre-purge and post-purge, and a 100% safety shut-off. A sight glass allows visual burner inspection from floor level — no ladder required for diagnostics. The hinged control compartment provides tool-free access to controls, serviceable while the unit is operating. Dual operational indicator lights confirm airflow and burner status at a glance.
Gas connection includes a 5/8″ flare to 1/2″ NPT adapter with a 1/2″ x 24″ 304 stainless steel flex connector and a 1/8″ F NPT ball valve with inlet tap. Power supply is 120VAC, 60 Hz, 1-phase with a 60-inch grounded power cord — 4.8A starting, 1.1A running. Venting is required for residential applications; sidewall or roof venting configurations supported.
Certified to ANSI Z83.20, CSA 2.34, and CSA No. 7-89 for residential use. Limited warranty: 1 year on burner box components, 3 years on combustion and radiant tubes, 5 years on the burner. Made in USA.
