Description

The Goodman CAPFA is a cased, all-aluminum AlumaFin7™ evaporator coil for upflow or downflow applications, available in 1.5 to 5-ton sizes with multiple cabinet width options to fit different furnace or air handler cabinets at the same tonnage. Its multi-louvered aluminum fin design and 7mm grooved aluminum tubing support efficient heat transfer, while hydrophilic fin coating improves condensate management.

At the core is a factory-installed, optimized piston metering device, sized for straightforward pairing with matched single-stage cooling and heat pump equipment, along with a factory-installed R-32 sensor designed for the lifespan of the coil. The compact 21″ depth eases installation in attic spaces, and a single front access panel simplifies service.

The cabinet has a galvanized, leather grain-embossed finish, with foil-faced insulation covering the internal casing to reduce cabinet condensation. A rust- and UV-resistant, DecaBDE-free thermoplastic drain pan features a low water-retention design with secondary drain connections, and drain pan rails allow coils to be removed and repositioned with ease during service.
