Description

The Goodman CHPTA_3 is an AlumaFin7 cased aluminum evaporator coil built for horizontal installations, optimized for use with R-32 refrigerant. Available in multiple tonnage sizes to match the outdoor condenser or heat pump it’s paired with.

The all-aluminum coil construction resists corrosion better than traditional copper-tube/aluminum-fin designs and includes an R-32 sensor built to last the life of the coil, along with R-32-optimized circuits and manifolds. Each coil ships with a factory-installed thermal expansion valve (TXV) for precise refrigerant metering in both cooling and heat pump applications, so no separate metering device needs to be sourced or installed in the field.

The cabinet features a galvanized, leather grain-embossed finish with foil-faced insulation on the internal casing to reduce condensation, a single front access panel for service, and a rust- and UV-resistant thermoplastic drain pan with secondary drain connections for added protection against water damage. Drain pan rails are designed so the coil can be removed and repositioned without compromising the cabinet’s structural integrity.
