Description

The Goodman CSCT is a cased, all-aluminum evaporator coil built in a horizontal slab configuration for R-32 refrigerant systems. Available in multiple tonnage sizes to match the outdoor condenser or heat pump it’s paired with.

The all-aluminum design uses sine fins and grooved tubes to maximize surface area and heat transfer efficiency, improving durability and reducing the corrosion risks associated with copper-aluminum coil construction. Each coil is pressure tested twice at the factory before it ships and includes a factory-installed internal thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) for precise refrigerant metering — no separate metering device needed in the field.

The galvanized, embossed cabinet is fully insulated to prevent air leakage, with foil-faced insulation that inhibits condensate formation and a rust-resistant thermoplastic drain pan to capture what does form. This slab design is built specifically for horizontal airflow applications, making it a straightforward fit for attic or crawlspace installations where a slab coil sits directly on the supply plenum.

This coil is compatible with R-32 equipment only — confirm the matched outdoor unit runs the same refrigerant before ordering. Goodman backs it with a 10-year limited parts warranty when registered online within 60 days of installation (5-year standard warranty if unregistered).
