Description

The Goodman GPHH5 is an all-in-one packaged heat pump rated at 15.2 SEER2 and 6.7 HSPF2, available in 2 to 5-ton sizes, built specifically for horizontal ductwork installations with quiet horizontal discharge. It combines the cooling and heating sections into a single, fully charged cabinet — with no separate indoor and outdoor units — for straightforward ground-level or rooftop installation, and can be paired with a field-installed electric heat kit for supplemental heating.

At the core is a high-efficiency scroll compressor — single-stage on the smaller sizes and two-stage on the 3.5 to 5-ton units for better part-load efficiency — paired with a multi-speed ECM indoor blower motor that circulates air efficiently and quietly. Copper tube/aluminum fin condenser coils and an all-aluminum evaporator coil deliver reliable heat transfer, and a totally enclosed, permanently lubricated condenser fan motor adds to long-term durability.

The heavy-gauge galvanized-steel cabinet has an attractive Architectural Gray powder-paint finish, louvered condenser coil protection, and aluminum foil-facing internal insulation reinforced with fiberglass scrim. The fully insulated blower compartment includes convenient access panels, and the cabinet meets air leakage requirements when tested to ASHRAE Standard 193 — less than 2.0% at 1.0 in. H2O, and less than 1.4% at 0.5 in. H2O.
