Description
The Goodman GZV9SA is a 19.2 SEER2 variable-speed inverter heat pump built in a compact side-discharge cabinet, designed for properties with limited outdoor clearance. Available in multiple tonnages to match the home’s cooling and heating load.
At the core is a variable-speed inverter-driven swing compressor that continuously adjusts output to match demand rather than cycling on and off at full capacity, which improves both temperature consistency and humidity control while lowering energy use compared to single-stage equipment. The system runs on R-32 refrigerant and is rated for cold-climate heating performance, so it can carry more of the home’s heating load before backup heat is needed.
The side-discharge design keeps the footprint tight along a wall or in narrow side yards, and the cabinet includes a quiet DC fan motor, a sound-dampening compressor blanket, and selectable quiet modes for reduced operating noise. A field-selectable boost mode is available to increase compressor speed during unusually high load conditions.
This heat pump uses integrated communicating ComfortBridge™ technology and requires a compatible Goodman or Daikin communicating thermostat — standard non-communicating thermostats are not supported. Commissioning and diagnostics run through the indoor board with Bluetooth connectivity to the CoolCloud™ app.
Designed, engineered, and assembled in the USA. Backed by Goodman’s parts warranty, extended to 10 years when registered online within 60 days of installation (registration requirements vary by state).
