Description
The Greenheck 385162 is a 24V fire/smoke damper actuator engineered for dependable, code-compliant control in commercial and industrial HVAC applications. Featuring a spring return (SR) mechanism, this actuator automatically drives the damper to its fail-safe position upon loss of power — a critical safety requirement for fire and smoke control systems. With a 30 in-lb torque output and 2-position (open/close) operation, it delivers straightforward, reliable actuation suited for a wide range of fire/smoke damper installations.
Key Features
- 24V control voltage for compatibility with standard fire/smoke control panels
- 30 in-lb torque output for positive damper operation
- 2-position (open/close) control for simple, direct on/off actuation
- Spring return (SR) design ensures automatic fail-safe damper closure on power loss
- Purpose-built for fire and smoke damper applications in commercial HVAC systems
- Greenheck quality construction for long-term reliability in life-safety installations
Application
The Greenheck 385162 is ideal for use with fire/smoke dampers in air handling systems, ductwork, and mechanical rooms where building codes mandate automatic damper closure during fire or smoke events. Its spring return action ensures the damper defaults to the safe (closed) position without requiring power, making it a trusted choice for life-safety HVAC control.
