The UV2400U6000 AirBRIGHT 6 is an in-duct ultraviolet air purification system that installs directly into the home’s ductwork, working alongside the HVAC system rather than as a standalone unit. Always-on UV light targets surface and airborne contaminants — mold, mildew, bacteria, and viruses — while integrated carbon bricks address odors and VOCs that UV alone doesn’t touch. That dual approach covers two distinct air quality complaints with one install instead of stacking separate products.

Performance data backs the claim: testing shows 99-100% reduction of MS-2 virus, 99-100% reduction of Staph aureus bacteria, and 84-100% reduction of Aspergillus Niger mold. The 34W lamp runs on 20-32 VAC at 1.4A (33.6VA), drawing power directly from the HVAC system’s low-voltage supply — no separate electrical run required on most installs.

Lamp replacement is straightforward: change the lamp every two years or 18,000 hours to maintain full effectiveness, then annually after that. The carbon cartridge is replaceable separately (UV2400XCRB6) without needing to swap the lamp at the same time, which keeps maintenance costs predictable for the homeowner.
