Description
The Honeywell HumidiPRO digital humidistat keeps indoor air moist enough for comfort yet dry enough to stop condensation on windows. It does this automatically when you plug in the outdoor sensor, but you can also run it like a regular manual humidistat or dehumidistat if you prefer. Setup is straightforward, and the five-year Honeywell warranty means long-term peace of mind.
Key Features
Remote sensor for automatic or manual mode
With the outdoor sensor connected, the controller adjusts humidity as the weather changes, so windows stay clear. Leave the sensor off and you set the humidity level yourself.
Built-in dehumidifier control
A short time-delay keeps whole-house dehumidifiers from turning on and off too quickly, helping the compressor last longer.
Wide setting range (10 %–90 % RH)
Covers very dry winter climates and very humid summer climates alike.
Easy calibration
You can fine-tune both humidity and outdoor-temperature readings so they match a reference gauge.
Simple push-button display
Bright, back-lit screen is easy to read and use.
Installation
Where to mount: Inside on a wall away from kitchens, bathrooms, windows, or exterior doors, or on the return-air side of the ductwork if you want it out of sight.
Power & wiring: Needs 24-volt AC power and two wires to your humidifier or dehumidifier—standard low-voltage HVAC wiring.
Placing the outdoor sensor: Run the sensor cable to a shaded north- or east-facing exterior wall so sun and vents don’t throw off the reading.
Typical Uses
- Whole-house bypass, fan-powered, or steam humidifiers
- Central dehumidifiers tied into the HVAC return duct
- Variable-speed furnaces and air handlers that need precise humidity control
