Description
The Honeywell TC500A-N is an advanced, configurable, connected commercial thermostat designed to control and monitor rooftop units, heat pump equipment, and related accessories. The device communicates over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BACnet IP over Wi-Fi, BACnet MS/TP, and Sylk, allowing straightforward integration with building automation systems. Built-in intelligent control algorithms help balance energy efficiency and comfort, and the thermostat ships with numerous presets suited to most commercial building requirements for fast initial setup. Firmware can be upgraded over Wi-Fi or the MS/TP network, and the device includes four universal terminals plus a pair of Sylk terminals for connecting sensors and accessories, along with built-in temperature, humidity, and proximity sensors. Users can remotely monitor sites, schedules, settings, and override controls through the Honeywell Connect Me app.
The TC500A-N supports 5-heat/3-cool heat pump configurations, 3-heat/4-cool conventional systems, fan coil units, and modulating heat/cool systems, with constant speed, 3-speed, multispeed, and variable speed fan control. Additional equipment control features include packaged economizer enable output, multiple dehumidification and humidification options, service mode for manual equipment testing, auto heat/cool switching based on space temperature, staging control, PID tuning, CPH, OAT/DAT lockout, modulating control, demand limit control, smoke monitoring, and purge/Delta T/economizer controls with auto demand response.
The thermostat features an intuitive, customizable 4″ TFT touchscreen display with configurable user privilege levels for occupancy setpoints, schedules, calendars, manual and occupancy overrides, and screen lockouts. Heat setpoints are automatically limited between 40°F–90°F and cool setpoints between 50°F–99°F. A real-time clock retains accuracy for 72 hours during power loss, and the display enters sleep mode automatically with an LED status indicator when inactive.
