Description
The International Comfort Products 15500213000075 is a factory-specified Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) engineered for use with R410A refrigerant systems. Designed as a direct OEM replacement, this valve delivers precise refrigerant metering to maintain optimal evaporator performance, protect the compressor, and maximize overall system efficiency.
Product Overview
The TXV (Thermostatic Expansion Valve) is a critical refrigeration cycle component responsible for regulating the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator coil. By responding dynamically to changes in superheat, it ensures the evaporator operates at peak capacity under varying load conditions — preventing both liquid slugging and excessive superheat that can damage compressor components.
Key Features
- OEM-specified replacement TXV for International Comfort Products equipment
- Compatible with R410A refrigerant
- Provides accurate superheat control for consistent system performance
- Helps protect the compressor from liquid slugging and overheating
- Direct drop-in replacement for simplified installation
- Built to ICP quality standards for long-lasting, reliable operation
Application
This TXV is designed for use in residential and light commercial split-system air conditioning and heat pump applications that utilize R410A refrigerant. Always verify compatibility with your specific ICP equipment model before installation.
Installation Notes
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Proper nitrogen brazing procedures, system evacuation, and refrigerant charging practices must be followed in accordance with local codes and manufacturer guidelines.
