Description
The iO HVAC Controls SD-XXXX is a commercial rectangular auxiliary zone control damper assembly that combines a damper and modulating actuator in one unit, using 3-wire floating point control. It’s designed for zoning applications where more than one damper is needed in a single zone — the SD-XXXX wires directly to a ZD damper actuator, letting it serve as an auxiliary damper alongside a primary zone damper. Standard sizes range from 8″x8″ up to 36″x24″ in 2″ increments, sized by width (A) and height (B) with the actuator mounted on the B dimension (bottom mount SD-XXXX-BM models mount the actuator on the A dimension instead); actual A and B dimensions are undercut 1/4″ for proper duct fit. Construction features a 1/16″ extruded aluminum frame and parallel blades with a 1/16″ aluminum mounting flange, nylon bushings, and a minimum position adjustment for baseline airflow control. The included actuator (FP45-MOTOR) runs on 24V AC/DC (50/60 Hz) at 2.5 VA / 1.5 W, delivers 45 in-lb (5 Nm) of torque, and completes a full 90-second stroke using simple 3-terminal floating point wiring (1-Comm, 2-Close, 3-Open). Compatible with any conventional zoning system from other manufacturers, the SD-XXXX can also be ordered without an actuator or with alternate actuator options to fit different control setups. Backed by a 5-year warranty.
