Description
Lennox 26W42 Two-Stage Pressure Switch Overview
The Lennox 26W42 is an OEM replacement two-stage pressure switch engineered for use in Lennox two-stage gas furnaces. This pressure switch monitors the negative pressure generated by the inducer motor, verifying that proper draft conditions are established before the ignition sequence is allowed to proceed. By confirming safe venting at both low-fire and high-fire stages, the 26W42 helps protect equipment and occupants from the hazards associated with improper combustion or blocked flue conditions.
Key Features
- Two-stage pressure switch design supports both low-fire and high-fire furnace operation
- Setpoints of .55″ W.C. and .95″ W.C. for precise, stage-specific draft verification
- OEM Lennox replacement part — direct fit for compatible Lennox two-stage furnace models
- Monitors inducer/draft pressure to prevent ignition under unsafe venting conditions
- Helps ensure reliable, safe furnace operation season after season
- Durable construction for long service life in residential and light commercial applications
Application
The Lennox 26W42 pressure switch is designed for use in Lennox two-stage gas furnaces where dual pressure monitoring is required. It is a critical safety component that prevents the gas valve from opening unless the inducer motor has established the correct negative pressure at both stages of operation. Always verify compatibility with your specific furnace model before installation.
