Description
The Lennox 71K11 is an OEM-grade pressure switch engineered for reliable furnace and air handler protection. Designed to monitor negative pressure created by the inducer motor, this switch helps ensure safe combustion sequencing by verifying proper draft before allowing ignition to proceed.
Key Features
- Set Point: .75″ water column (wc) — precisely calibrated for compatible Lennox systems
- Switch Type: SPST (Single-Pole, Single-Throw) for straightforward open/close circuit control
- Dual 1/4″ barb connections for secure, leak-resistant hose attachment
- Direct OEM replacement for compatible Lennox furnace models
- Monitors inducer motor draft to prevent unsafe ignition sequences
- Compact, robust construction for long-lasting performance in demanding HVAC environments
How It Works
The pressure switch senses the negative pressure (vacuum) produced by the draft inducer motor. When the inducer reaches the correct operating speed and generates sufficient draft, the switch closes, signaling the control board to advance the ignition sequence. If adequate pressure is not detected, the switch remains open, locking out ignition and protecting against hazardous conditions such as blocked flue or inducer failure.
Application
- Compatible with select Lennox gas furnaces requiring a .75″ wc pressure switch
- Ideal for HVAC technicians performing warranty-grade repairs and maintenance
- Direct drop-in replacement to minimize diagnostic and installation time
