Description
The Littelfuse SLC025 is a compact Class G fuse rated for 25A continuous current at up to 480V AC / 170V DC, designed for branch-circuit protection applications. Class G fuses meet NEC requirements and offer compact dimensions compared to standard fuse types. The unique sizing of SLC series fuses prevents insertion of lower-voltage fuses into Class G fuse holders, while varying fuse length prevents insertion of higher-amperage-rated fuses into holders designed for lower amperage — reducing installation errors in the field. The SLC025 provides a medium time-delay opening characteristic, allowing the fuse to be sized closer to actual equipment requirements without oversizing to withstand harmless equipment or system surges, which can help reduce downtime caused by power surges or equipment demands. The current-limiting design is rated for a 100,000 amp interrupting rating (A.I.R.), providing reliable interruption of overcurrents up to 100,000 amperes and reducing equipment damage caused by the heating and magnetic effects of short-circuit currents.
