Description
The Manitowoc Ice 000014323 is an OEM replacement PTCR (Positive Temperature Coefficient Resistor) motor start device rated at 12 amps, engineered specifically for use in Manitowoc Ice commercial ice machines. PTCR start devices provide a simple, solid-state solution for starting single-phase compressor motors by temporarily increasing circuit resistance after the initial inrush current, allowing the compressor to reach operating speed quickly and efficiently — without the need for a traditional start relay or start capacitor.
This direct OEM replacement ensures proper fit and function, maintaining the performance and reliability your Manitowoc ice machine demands. Replacing a worn or failed PTCR start device is a fast, cost-effective repair that restores proper compressor startup and protects the motor from excessive current draw.
