Design & Construction
The Marathon K1416 is built around a NEMA 56H frame — a standard frame size that ensures broad compatibility with existing motor mounts and blower assemblies. The open drip proof (ODP) enclosure protects internal windings from dripping liquids in non-weather-exposed environments, making it ideal for indoor mechanical rooms and air handler units. The resilient base mounting configuration reduces vibration transmission to the surrounding structure, minimizing noise and extending the service life of connected equipment.
Three-Phase Performance
Designed for three-phase power systems, the K1416 operates efficiently on 208-230V or 460V supplies, offering installation flexibility across a variety of commercial electrical configurations. Three-phase motors provide smoother torque delivery, greater efficiency, and longer service life compared to single-phase alternatives — making this motor a preferred choice for commercial and light industrial HVAC installations.
Applications
- Commercial air handling units (AHUs)
- Blower and fan assemblies
- HVAC supply and return air systems
- Industrial ventilation equipment
- OEM replacement and retrofit installations
