Description
The Rheem Endeavor RCHZ3617STANVU is a 3-ton (36,000 BTU/h) uncased N-coil evaporator coil designed for vertical upflow and downflow applications with R-410A refrigerant. The uncased configuration is the right choice when installing into an existing cabinet or casing, or when pairing with a furnace that already provides the enclosure — eliminating the redundant sheet metal of a cased coil in those applications. Requires an RXBA uncased coil adapter kit for installation into a furnace or ductwork (sold separately).
The N-coil design maximizes heat transfer performance while minimizing installed height — a practical advantage on retrofit jobs where vertical clearance above the furnace is limited. Aluminum fins are bonded to internally grooved aluminum tubing, and every coil is factory-tested with an extensive refrigerant leak check before shipment. Chatleff TXV metering device connections are included at the inlet and outlet, plus equalizer connections for a clean refrigerant circuit hookup.
Copper sweat refrigerant connections — 3/8″ liquid, 3/4″ suction — and dual 3/4″ NPT condensate drain connections on both primary and secondary provide flexible drain routing. The bi-directional airflow design eliminates internal reconfiguration when switching between horizontal left and right orientations. The condensate drain pan is constructed of high-grade, heat-resistant, corrosion-free thermal-set material. Compatible with germicidal UV light systems. AHRI certified for system application with a variety of Rheem outdoor units. 10-year conditional parts warranty with registration.
