Rheem-Ruud 42-105583-05 Pressure Switch Overview
The Rheem-Ruud 42-105583-05 is an OEM replacement pressure switch designed for use in Rheem and Ruud gas furnaces. Rated at -1.55″ W.C. (water column), this switch monitors the negative pressure created by the inducer motor to verify proper venting and combustion airflow before allowing the furnace control board to initiate ignition. It is a critical safety component that helps protect the heat exchanger and ensures reliable, efficient furnace operation.
