Sporlan Controls 180918 KT-85-ZGA TXV Powerhead Replacement Kit

Description

The Sporlan Controls KT-85-ZGA TXV Powerhead (SKU 180918) is a genuine OEM replacement powerhead kit designed to restore full thermostatic expansion valve performance without requiring complete valve replacement. Sporlan is a trusted name in refrigeration and HVAC controls, and this powerhead kit upholds that reputation by delivering accurate superheat sensing and reliable refrigerant metering across a wide range of system applications.

The powerhead is the critical sensing element of a thermostatic expansion valve (TXV), responsible for detecting suction-line temperature and modulating refrigerant flow to maintain optimal superheat. Replacing a worn or failed powerhead with a genuine Sporlan kit restores precise flow control, protects the compressor from liquid slugging, and maximizes system efficiency.

Key Features

• Genuine Sporlan OEM replacement powerhead kit for KT-85-ZGA series TXVs
• Restores accurate superheat sensing and refrigerant flow modulation
• Designed for drop-in replacement — no full valve changeout required
• Built to Sporlan’s exacting quality standards for long service life
• Helps protect compressors by preventing liquid refrigerant slugging
• Compatible with a variety of commercial and industrial refrigeration applications

Why Choose a Sporlan Replacement Powerhead?

Using a genuine Sporlan replacement powerhead ensures the valve operates exactly as designed. Aftermarket or mismatched powerheads can result in incorrect superheat settings, reduced system efficiency, and potential compressor damage. The KT-85-ZGA kit provides a cost-effective alternative to full valve replacement while maintaining OEM-level performance and reliability.

Application

• Commercial refrigeration systems
• Industrial HVAC and process cooling
• Replacement/service for existing Sporlan TXV installations
