Description
The Supco SHL502 is a board-mounted, general-purpose temperature limit switch engineered for reliable overheat protection in a wide range of HVAC and appliance control applications. Featuring fixed open and close temperature setpoints with automatic reset functionality, this switch provides consistent, hands-free protection without the need for manual intervention after a fault condition clears.
How It Works
The SHL502 monitors supply-air or equipment temperatures via its 3.12″ insertion probe. When the sensed temperature reaches the fixed open setpoint of 180°F, the SPST normally closed (NC) circuit opens, interrupting the control circuit and shutting down the associated equipment. Once temperatures fall back to the fixed close setpoint of 150°F, the switch automatically resets and restores normal operation — no manual reset required.
