Description

The Texas Furnace (Consolidated Industries) 7026900 is an OEM-grade Single-Pole Double-Throw (SPDT) air pressure switch engineered to protect furnace systems by verifying proper inducer draft before allowing ignition to proceed. Set at a precise 0.52″ water column (w.c.) setpoint, this switch ensures that combustion air flow meets the required threshold — a critical safety function that prevents unsafe furnace operation.

How It Works

The air pressure switch monitors negative pressure generated by the draft inducer motor. When the inducer establishes adequate airflow, the diaphragm inside the switch deflects and closes the SPDT contacts, signaling the furnace control board to advance through the ignition sequence. If proper draft is not achieved — due to a blocked flue, failed inducer, or restricted vent — the switch remains open and locks out ignition, protecting the heat exchanger and occupants from combustion hazards.

Key Features
  • OEM replacement part for Texas Furnace / Consolidated Industries furnaces
  • SPDT (Single-Pole Double-Throw) switching action for reliable circuit control
  • Factory-set pressure setpoint: 0.52″ water column (w.c.)
  • Monitors inducer draft to ensure safe ignition sequencing
  • Direct drop-in replacement — no field calibration required
  • Designed for long service life in residential and light-commercial furnace applications
Application

This pressure switch is a direct OEM replacement for select Texas Furnace and Consolidated Industries furnace models. Always verify compatibility with your specific furnace model number before installation. Consult the furnace wiring diagram and service manual for correct pressure port orientation and wiring connections.

Installation Notes
  • Disconnect power before servicing
  • Inspect inducer hose and port for cracks, blockages, or moisture before replacing the switch
  • Confirm setpoint matches the original switch label on your furnace
  • Use OEM part number 7026900 to ensure correct fit and function
