Description

Trane CNT0747 Low Pressure Cutout Switch

The Trane CNT0747 is an OEM low pressure cutout switch engineered to safeguard refrigeration and HVAC systems from operating under unsafe low-pressure conditions. By monitoring system pressure and interrupting the circuit when pressure drops below the set point, this switch helps prevent compressor damage, refrigerant loss, and costly system failures.

How It Works

The CNT0747 is wired into the refrigerant circuit’s low-pressure side. When suction pressure falls to the cut-out (open) set point, the switch opens the control circuit, shutting down the compressor. Once system pressure recovers to the cut-in (close) set point, the switch resets and allows normal operation to resume.
