The Trane SWT3017 is a Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) high-limit safety switch engineered to protect HVAC equipment from dangerous overtemperature conditions. Designed as a direct OEM replacement for compatible Trane systems, this switch automatically interrupts the circuit when temperatures reach unsafe levels, then resets once conditions return to a safe range.
How It Works
The SWT3017 monitors system temperature continuously. When the sensed temperature rises to the trip point, the switch opens to cut power and prevent equipment damage or fire hazard. Once the system cools to the reset threshold, the switch closes and normal operation resumes.
