Description

Trane SWT3362 Low Pressure Refrigerant Switch

The Trane SWT3362 is a low pressure refrigerant switch engineered to monitor and protect HVAC and refrigeration systems from damaging low-side pressure conditions. Designed as a direct OEM Trane replacement, this switch integrates seamlessly into Trane equipment to ensure reliable, code-compliant system protection.

How It Works

The SWT3362 monitors refrigerant suction-side pressure continuously. When system pressure drops to the open setpoint, the switch interrupts the control circuit, shutting down the compressor to prevent damage from low refrigerant charge, loss of refrigerant, or other low-pressure fault conditions. Once pressure recovers to the close setpoint, the switch resets and allows normal operation to resume.
