Description

Trane SWT3372 Low Pressure Switch Overview

The Trane SWT3372 is a refrigerant-side low pressure safety switch engineered to protect HVAC compressors from damaging low-pressure operating conditions. Designed as a direct OEM replacement for compatible Trane equipment, this switch monitors system refrigerant pressure and interrupts the compressor circuit when pressure drops to an unsafe level, preventing costly compressor failures.

How It Works

The SWT3372 is a normally closed pressure switch that opens its electrical contacts when refrigerant pressure falls to the open setpoint, cutting power to the compressor. Once system pressure recovers to the close setpoint, the switch resets and allows normal operation to resume.
