Description
The Trane SWT3964 is an OEM inducer limit switch engineered to protect furnace inducer assemblies from overheating conditions. Designed as a direct factory replacement for compatible Trane heating systems, this limit switch monitors flue-gas and inducer temperatures, automatically interrupting the circuit when unsafe heat levels are detected and resetting once temperatures return to a safe range.
How It Works
The SWT3964 operates as a normally closed (NC) thermal limit device. When inducer temperatures rise to the open setpoint, the switch opens the control circuit, shutting down the burner to prevent heat exchanger damage or component failure. Once temperatures cool to the close setpoint, the switch automatically resets, restoring normal operation.
