Description

The Trane THT2276 is a low-temperature safety thermostat (stat) engineered for freeze protection in HVAC systems. Rated for multi-voltage operation at 120, 240, and 277V, this control is designed to open its circuit at 20°F and close at 35°F, providing a reliable safeguard against coil freeze-up and cold-air damage in air handling and ventilation equipment.

Key Features
  • Multi-voltage compatibility: 120V, 240V, and 277V operation
  • Opens (trips) at 20°F for early freeze protection response
  • Closes (resets) at 35°F to restore normal system operation
  • Designed for use in commercial and industrial HVAC applications
  • Trane OEM quality for reliable, long-lasting performance
  • Helps protect air handling unit coils from freeze damage
Specifications
  • Brand: Trane
  • Part Number: THT2276
  • Voltage: 120 / 240 / 277V
  • Open (Trip) Temperature: 20°F
  • Close (Reset) Temperature: 35°F
  • Application: Low-temperature freeze protection stat
Application

The THT2276 is ideal for protecting air handlers, fan coils, and ventilation systems from freezing conditions. When ambient or supply-air temperatures drop to the open setpoint of 20°F, the stat interrupts the circuit to trigger protective action — such as shutting down the fan or activating heating — and automatically resets at 35°F once safe temperatures are restored. Its broad voltage range makes it suitable for a wide variety of commercial HVAC installations.
