Description
The Trane THT2438 is an OEM high-limit safety switch engineered to protect Trane heating systems from dangerous overtemperature conditions. When supply air or heat exchanger temperatures rise to the 210°F open setpoint, the switch interrupts the burner circuit to prevent equipment damage and potential fire hazards. Once temperatures fall back to the 180°F close setpoint, the switch resets and restores normal operation — providing a reliable 30°F differential for stable, controlled cycling.
