Description
The York S1-373-23868-001 Defrost Control Kit is a genuine OEM replacement part engineered specifically for compatible York heat pump systems. Designed to restore and maintain proper defrost cycle operation, this kit helps ensure your heat pump runs efficiently throughout the heating season — even in cold, frost-prone conditions.
Why Defrost Control Matters
Heat pumps rely on a precisely timed defrost cycle to prevent ice buildup on the outdoor coil. A failed or degraded defrost control can lead to reduced heating capacity, increased energy consumption, and potential compressor damage. Replacing the defrost control with a genuine York OEM kit ensures the system operates within factory-specified parameters.
