Description

Digital remote switch station that sends manual override/reset commands to M-Controller and Q4C gas detection systems

The QEL M-Switch gives you a simple, durable pushbutton station to control your gas detection system from where people work not just at the main panel. It talks digitally to the M-Controller or Q4C, letting you start fans, trigger relays, or reset alarms with a single button press, while the controller handles all the logic in the background.

Onboard, you get one large, LED-lit push button. At the terminal strip, you can tie in up to ten additional remote switches or dry contacts for things like emergency stops, timer outputs, or other customer devices, plus a separate reset input when you’re using latched logic. That means one M-Switch can act as the “hub” for several wall stations instead of wiring every switch back to the controller.

Because it’s housed in a NEMA 4/4X enclosure with a sealed, IP65-rated pushbutton, the M-Switch holds up well in garages, mechanical rooms, and washdown areas. You can set it to latch (stay “on” until reset) or non-latch, so it can serve as an emergency “start only” switch outside a machinery room while a second reset station is located safely inside helping support many code-driven ventilation schemes.

Key Features & Benefits

Manual Control Right Where You Need It
Sends a switch input to the M-Controller or Q4C so you can manually start fans, trigger relays, or reset alarms without walking back to the main panel.

One Station, Many Switches
Built-in pushbutton plus terminals that can accept up to ten remote switches in series, plus up to ten reset switches—handy when you want local controls to spread around a large room or hallway.

Works Like A “Virtual Sensor” for Easy Programming
Converts switch status into a simulated gas reading (0 when off, 9999 when on) and occupies one digital sensor address, so the controller can treat it like any other point in its logic.

Selectable Latch or Non-Latch Behavior
Use non-latch mode for normal start/stop control, or latch mode so a switch can start ventilation but can only be reset from a separate station or by power cycling—useful for emergency ventilation strategies.

Rugged, Weather-Resistant Design
NEMA 4/4X enclosure and an IP65 pushbutton with splash cover help protect the electronics from water, dust, and corrosion, making the device suitable for harsh garages and industrial spaces.

Bright Status Indication
A high-intensity red LED in the button shows at a glance whether the switch is active or reset, reducing guesswork for techs and operators.
