Description
The Johnson Controls F93B-1 is a purpose-built Air Volume Control engineered for deep well hydronic and pressure tank applications. Designed to automatically bleed trapped air from the system, this control helps maintain proper water-to-air ratios within the pressure tank, protecting pump performance and extending system life.
Key Features
- Designed specifically for deep well applications
- Automatically bleeds air from the pressure tank to maintain correct air charge
- 1/4″ gage tap for convenient pressure gauge or test port connection
- Durable plastic float with brass rod for reliable, corrosion-resistant operation
- 100 Psig maximum tank pressure rating for compatibility with standard residential and light commercial pressure tanks
- 1 1/4″ MPT (Male Pipe Thread) tank connector for straightforward installation
Specifications
- Model: F93B-1
- Application: Deep Well Pressure Tank Systems
- Tank Connector: 1 1/4″ MPT
- Gage Tap: 1/4″
- Float Material: Plastic
- Rod Material: Brass
- Maximum Tank Pressure: 100 Psig
- Function: Air Bleeder / Air Volume Control
Application
The F93B-1 mounts directly to the pressure tank via its 1 1/4″ MPT connection. As water enters the tank, the plastic float rises with the water level, and when the water level drops, the float-actuated mechanism bleeds air back into the tank — keeping the air cushion properly sized for efficient pump cycling. The included 1/4″ gage tap allows technicians to monitor tank pressure without removing the control. Ideal for use in residential and light commercial deep well pump systems.
