Description
Lennox 18M62 Pressure Switch Overview
The Lennox 18M62 Pressure Switch is a genuine OEM replacement component engineered to maintain safe and reliable operation in Lennox heating and cooling systems. Pressure switches are a critical safety device that monitor system pressures and shut down equipment when readings fall outside of normal operating parameters, protecting both the unit and occupants from unsafe conditions.
Key Features
- Genuine Lennox OEM replacement part (SKU: 18M62)
- Designed for precise pressure monitoring in Lennox HVAC systems
- Acts as a safety shutoff to prevent equipment operation under abnormal pressure conditions
- Direct drop-in replacement for compatible Lennox models — no modifications required
- Built to Lennox quality and reliability standards
Application
This pressure switch is intended for use in compatible Lennox furnaces and air handling equipment. It monitors inducer or combustion air pressure to verify proper venting and airflow before allowing the system to proceed through its ignition sequence. If pressure is insufficient or excessive, the switch opens the control circuit, preventing unsafe operation.
Why Choose OEM Parts?
Using genuine Lennox OEM replacement parts like the 18M62 ensures proper fit, function, and system performance. Aftermarket substitutes may not meet the original design specifications, potentially leading to nuisance lockouts or reduced equipment life. Always verify compatibility with your specific Lennox model before installation.
Installation Notes
- Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician
- Verify the replacement part number matches your unit’s wiring diagram and service manual
